The Kosovo Padel Federation was founded with the vision of introducing and developing padel as a modern and fast-growing sport in Kosovo. The initial idea to bring padel to the country emerged in early 2021, inspired by the sport’s rapid expansion and popularity in Sweden. This initiative was led by Besim Shulemaja and Jusuf Kika, who are recognized as the pioneers of padel in Kosovo.
Through dedication, strategic planning, and intensive work over a short period of time, the Kosovo Padel Federation was officially established on August 28, 2021. From its early stages, the Federation focused on building a strong organizational structure and creating the foundations necessary for the sport’s sustainable development.
A major milestone in the growth of padel in Kosovo was achieved in July 2022, when the first padel courts in the country were constructed in Prishtina. This marked the official introduction of padel as a playable sport in Kosovo and opened the door for athlete development, competitions, and community engagement.
The Federation’s efforts were soon recognized at both national and international levels. On March 31, 2022, the Kosovo Padel Federation was accepted as a full member of the Kosovo Olympic Committee. This was followed by full membership in the European Padel Federation on December 20, 2022, and full membership in the International Padel Federation on July 7, 2023.
After two years of continuous activity and development within Kosovo, the Federation received official licensing as a national sports federation from the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Kosovo, effective January 1, 2024.
Today, the Kosovo Padel Federation serves as the official governing body responsible for the regulation, development, and promotion of padel in Kosovo. The Federation is committed to fostering professionalism, supporting clubs and athletes, organizing national competitions, and representing Kosovo with integrity and ambition on the international stage.

Vision
The vision of the Kosovo Padel Federation is to establish padel as one of the most played and recognized sports in Kosovo, accessible to all ages and levels, while achieving sustainable growth and international competitiveness.

Mission
The mission of the Kosovo Padel Federation is to promote and develop padel from the grassroots and school level through to the national and elite level. The Federation aims to create structured development pathways, encourage widespread participation, support talent identification, and provide opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials to grow within a professional and well-regulated environment.
